Toshiba's 65-inch ArtVision G700 4K TV just got 45% cheaper on Amazon.
The G700 is currently listed at $1,099.99, down from its usual $1,999.99 - a $900 cut as of September 24. It's a QLED 4K display built to double as decor: it mounts flush to the wall, runs in a portrait-friendly format, and switches into an Art Gallery Mode that rotates artwork and photos when nobody's watching TV. It runs on Amazon's Fire TV platform, one of the more common smart-TV operating systems at this price tier. The deal is live now, weeks ahead of Amazon's October Prime Day event on October 6 and 7.
That timing is the real story. Retailers increasingly front-load discounts before marquee sales events to capture shoppers who don't want to wait, and a 45% cut on a 65-inch set is a real deal by any measure, not just Prime Day marketing math. Art-mode TVs like this one chase the same living-room-furniture appeal that made Samsung's Frame line popular, minus the premium price tag - and minus, likely, some of the color accuracy and app polish that pricier sets offer.
If you want a big screen that doesn't look like a black rectangle when it's off, this is a legitimate discount. Just don't expect it to still be $1,099.99 once actual Prime Day arrives - or to necessarily beat whatever undercuts it then.
