Surfshark is knocking its three-year VPN Starter Plan down to $62.99 through October 15, which works out to about $21 a year.
The deal, run through StackSocial with promo code SAVE25, cuts the plan from a listed $430 to $62.99 for three years of service. Surfshark's pitch includes AES-256 encryption, a no-logging policy, and access to roughly 3,200 servers across 100 countries. The Starter Plan also bundles a kill switch that cuts your internet if the VPN connection drops, plus Surfshark Search, a search engine the company says does not track users, and a location bypasser for apps that check where you actually are.
A VPN is genuinely useful on public Wi-Fi, where anyone on the same network can snoop on unencrypted traffic. But the $430 "regular price" is the number flash-sale VPN ads always lead with, and it is rarely what anyone pays - these three-year loss-leader deals are how Surfshark, NordVPN, and ExpressVPN compete for new subscribers before auto-renewal kicks in at a steeper rate.
Encryption is easy to verify. A "no-logging" promise is not - it is a policy claim, not something a buyer can audit before swiping a card.
