Roughly half — 114,565 skills — come from peer-reviewed journals, arXiv papers, and more than 24,000 technical sources, each claim mapped to an exact quotation in its origin document. The other 102,373 skills are pulled from GitHub and the ClawHub marketplace. A filtering layer called SkillGate, built on a large language model, screens contributions before they make it into the library. The whole thing ships as offline-searchable SQLite FTS5 bundles, so agents can query it without a live internet connection.\n\nThe source-grounding guarantee is the part worth paying attention to. Most agent frameworks bolt knowledge on through retrieval systems that can surface confident-sounding nonsense with no paper trail. SkillCenter's design forces each retained claim to trace back to a specific passage — which makes it easier to audit when an agent does something wrong, and harder for it to confabulate in the first place. That matters more as agents move into domains where mistakes have real costs.\n\nThe library is, by the researchers' own count, the largest open skill library for agents yet published — though that bar was low enough that clearing it doesn't take much.
