Siri's new AI brain won't land on every Apple Home device at the same time.
Apple has confirmed a staggered rollout for Siri AI across its home lineup, and it is messier than the launch date alone suggests. HomeView and the new fourth-generation Apple TV 4K get Siri AI at launch on November 13. The third-generation and second-generation Apple TV 4K models have to wait for the tvOS 27.2 update. HomePod mini 2 ships October 30 without Siri AI at all, with Apple promising the feature in a future software update. Everything older, including the original HomePod, the original HomePod mini, and any Apple TV lacking tvOS 27, gets nothing, and Apple has walked back earlier reports that the first HomePod mini would qualify.
The gaps matter more than the launch date headline. Buyers of the brand-new HomePod mini 2 still wait an unspecified stretch for its signature feature, and anyone in the EU, or outside Apple's eight-country launch list, gets nothing regardless of hardware. It is the same pattern Apple set with Apple Intelligence: ship the device, promise the software later, let reviewers sort out the fine print.
And the whole rollout, even on day-one hardware, is still labeled a beta.
