SanDisk's 512GB microSD Express card for the Switch 2 just hit $129.99, its cheapest price yet.
Amazon dropped the officially licensed card to $129.99 for Prime Big Deal Days, a 35% cut from its $199.99 list price and a tie with its all-time low. The card uses SanDisk's newer Express format, rated for read speeds up to 880 MB/s and writes up to 650 MB/s, a real jump over older microSD cards built for the original Switch. At 512GB, it holds a full library of modern, larger game downloads without the constant delete-and-redownload shuffle. SanDisk also built it to survive water, drops, and heat, which matters more on a handheld than on a shelf.
The Switch 2 leans harder on digital downloads than its predecessor, and file sizes have grown to match, so storage that can keep up with the console's own read speeds stops being optional. microSD Express cards still cost more per gigabyte than standard microSD, but this discount puts one within shouting distance of a decent 1TB SSD, which says more about where handheld storage pricing is headed than about any single sale.
Lowest-ever price or not, it's still a $130 memory card, which says less about the deal and more about where Nintendo priced storage to begin with.
