Samsung's HW-Q800H soundbar costs $696.99 at Amazon, down from its usual $1,097.99 and its lowest price so far, according to price trackers.
That is $401 off, or roughly 37%. The 2026 model pairs a soundbar with a wireless subwoofer in a 5.1.2-channel layout: five main channels, one bass channel, and two overhead channels. One of the main channels is dedicated to dialogue. Samsung adds two dialogue enhancement modes and a feature called Sound Elevation, which attempts to raise the apparent height of voices so they seem to come from the actors on screen rather than from beneath the TV. Automatic room correction tunes the sound to the space without much manual work.
The bar also supports Dolby Atmos, a format that adds height to the soundstage in compatible movies and shows. Owners of a compatible Samsung TV can turn on Q-Symphony, which lets the TV's speakers work alongside the soundbar.
The price is the news here. A "usual price" is whatever the retailer's history says it is, but a tracker-confirmed low is the signal that matters to someone who has been waiting for a drop. Dipping under $700 also moves the bar out of the four-figure bracket and into a different kind of purchase.
The trade-offs are specific. There is no DTS support, which matters if you watch Blu-rays with DTS soundtracks. No separate rear speakers are included, so surround effects will be less immersive than in a full home theater setup. The strongest case is a household that keeps raising the volume to hear dialogue and lowering it when the action hits, since most built-in TV speakers lack a dedicated center channel.
Prices and availability can change after publication, and the lowest-price claim covers only what trackers have recorded so far.
