Samsung's biggest gaming monitor just got its most aggressive Amazon price cut yet.
The Samsung 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9 (G91SD) is listed at $799.99 on Amazon as of June 22, down from its $1,299.99 list price — a 38% reduction confirmed as an all-time low by price tracker camelcamelcamel. The monitor runs a 32:9 curved QD-OLED panel at Dual QHD resolution (5120 x 1440) with 110 pixels per inch, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 0.03ms GtG response time. G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro are both on board.
Super-ultrawides at this size are a niche category, but QD-OLED panels have pushed them from novelty to legitimate option: the technology delivers true blacks and color accuracy that regular LED-backlit monitors can't match at any price. At $800, this is roughly what a pair of decent 27-inch 1440p monitors would run you — minus the bezel gap.
The timing is obvious — Prime Day is close, and pre-event deals like this are designed to move stock before the main event cannibalizes attention. Whether the price holds or drops further after Prime Day kicks off is the only real question worth watching.
