Rockstar wants $399.99 for a GTA 6 box that doesn't have GTA 6 in it.
Preorders are open at the Rockstar Store for the GTA VI: The Goodtime State - Vice City Collection, an 11-piece box themed around Macca the Gator, a fictional TV show set in the game's Leonida universe. The crate includes Oakley Frogskins sunglasses with a Vice City pink logo, a New Era snapback, a crossbody bag, a Macca the Gator figurine with a hidden stash compartment, a double-sided poster with a full map of Leonida, and several smaller collectibles like enamel pins, stickers, and a shot glass. It ships November 19, 2026, in a limited run capped at one per customer, and the box is too large to qualify for free shipping. The actual game is still a separate purchase.
Most collector's editions bundle a copy of the game as the anchor and treat the merch as a bonus. Rockstar has flipped that math: the game is optional, the merch is the product, and buyers are paying nearly $400 for apparel and set dressing from a world they may not even own yet. That's a bet that GTA 6's fandom is now large and patient enough to pay for the aesthetic on faith alone.
Given how long GTA 6 fans have already waited, selling them a stash-compartment gator figurine before the game itself feels less like a collector's edition and more like a very expensive placeholder.
