Roborock's priciest robot vacuum just got a lot cheaper.
Amazon has cut the price of the Roborock Saros Z70 Robot Vacuum and Mop from $1,999.99 to $999.98 as of Sept. 22, a 50% discount that matches its lowest price on record. The Z70 is Roborock's flagship cleaner, built around a mechanical arm that can grab socks and light footwear off the floor before the robot starts its cleaning pass. It also delivers 22,000Pa of suction, a heated mop system with pads that swing out on a motorized hinge to scrub baseboards, and a self-cleaning dock that washes those pads in 176°F water, dries them, dispenses cleaning solution, and empties the dustbin, good for up to seven weeks without hands-on maintenance. Despite housing that arm and a high-powered motor, the body stays a slim 3.14 inches tall so it can slide under low-clearance furniture.
A hands-on review found the arm was the standout feature and also the slowest one, struggling with heavier shoes or unfamiliar fabrics. The review's biggest complaint was the price tag, and that is precisely what this deal addresses. Halving the cost of hardware this new suggests Roborock is testing whether a robotic arm sells better as an impulse buy than a luxury purchase.
The arm's quirks have not changed overnight. Only the price has.
