A Crucial 64GB DDR5 kit is 7% off at £690 in the UK, versus £170 a year ago. A 32GB Crucial kit has fallen from £108 to £400 despite a 22% \"discount\" tag. GPUs fare a bit better: Asus's Radeon RX 9070 XT is $829, up from $690 last year, though a Radeon RX 9070 GRE OC dropped 33% to $529.99, undercutting its MSRP, and an RTX 5080 in the UK is down to £1,199.99 - a genuinely rare good price for a high-end card.\n\nThe pattern says more about the ongoing memory shortage than about Amazon's generosity. RAM and NAND prices have climbed for over a year, and that scarcity is now baked into every \"sale\" price shoppers see. A 22%-off sticker on RAM that still costs roughly four times what it did in 2025 isn't a bargain - it's inflation wearing a bargain's clothes.\n\nPrime Day used to be the moment to assemble a budget PC. This year it's mostly a reminder of how much that budget has grown, with a couple of GPU exceptions worth grabbing before memory costs push card prices up again too.","[\"prime-day\",\"ram-prices\",\"gpu-deals\",\"ssd\"]","2026-10-07T16:29:30.000Z","2026-10-08T16:07:47.088Z","2026-10-08T16:07:50.416Z","published",null,[],"deals",[26,27,28,29],"prime-day","ram-prices","gpu-deals","ssd",[31],{"name":32,"url":33},"TechRadar","https:\u002F\u002Fwww.techradar.com\u002Fcomputing\u002Fcomputing-components\u002Fthe-best-amazon-prime-day-ssd-ram-and-gpu-deals-are-more-sad-than-exciting-the-prices-compared-to-last-year-show-how-bad-things-have-got-but-there-is-some-gpu-goodness-here",0,{"sections":36},[37,42,47,52,56,61,66,71,76,81,86,91,96,101],{"name":38,"slug":39,"count":40,"latest_published_at":41},"AI","ai",6375,"2026-10-07T18:30:57.000Z",{"name":43,"slug":44,"count":45,"latest_published_at":46},"Security","security",902,"2026-10-07T19:53:42.000Z",{"name":48,"slug":49,"count":50,"latest_published_at":51},"Policy","policy",473,"2026-10-07T18:23:21.000Z",{"name":53,"slug":24,"count":54,"latest_published_at":55},"Deals",453,"2026-10-07T23:58:31.000Z",{"name":57,"slug":58,"count":59,"latest_published_at":60},"Hardware","hardware",222,"2026-10-07T21:19:54.000Z",{"name":62,"slug":63,"count":64,"latest_published_at":65},"Science","science",186,"2026-10-06T21:20:39.000Z",{"name":67,"slug":68,"count":69,"latest_published_at":70},"Consumer Tech","consumer-tech",173,"2026-10-07T17:41:41.000Z",{"name":72,"slug":73,"count":74,"latest_published_at":75},"Software","software",113,"2026-10-07T18:10:00.000Z",{"name":77,"slug":78,"count":79,"latest_published_at":80},"Startups","startups",112,"2026-10-07T23:36:57.000Z",{"name":82,"slug":83,"count":84,"latest_published_at":85},"Dev Tools","dev-tools",105,"2026-10-07T16:59:11.000Z",{"name":87,"slug":88,"count":89,"latest_published_at":90},"General","general",61,"2026-10-07T22:00:24.000Z",{"name":92,"slug":93,"count":94,"latest_published_at":95},"Gaming","gaming",56,"2026-10-07T12:00:00.000Z",{"name":97,"slug":98,"count":99,"latest_published_at":100},"Reviews","reviews",33,"2026-10-05T11:57:17.000Z",{"name":102,"slug":103,"count":104,"latest_published_at":105},"How-To","how-to",8,"2026-10-05T09:00:00.000Z"]
