Amazon's Prime Day has produced some of the year's steepest cuts on smart home hardware, with robot vacuums, doorbells, and connected locks all taking notable hits.
The Narwal Flow 2 robot vacuum-mop drops $450 from its $1,499.99 list price to $1,049.99. The Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2 falls from $799.99 to $499.99. Ring has halved prices on its two newest doorbell cameras: the Wired 2K is now $39.99 and the Battery 2K is $49.99. Google's Nest Wired 2K doorbell is $41 off, down to $138.99. Smart locks are also in the mix, with the Level Lock Pro at $295 (down from $349) and the Aqara Smart Lock U400 at a new low of $219.49.
The doorbell comparison is where the real calculus lies. Ring's sale prices come with a subscription requirement to view any recorded video. Google Nest includes free 10-second clips without a plan, making the lower sticker prices on Ring's cameras a less clear-cut win.
At $1,049.99, the Narwal is still an expensive vacuum. This deal makes sense for buyers who've already decided to spend premium on their floors, not those browsing casually.
