Lego's 587-piece Eevee set hit $47.99, matching its all-time low on Amazon, and Pokemon Legends: Z-A for Switch 2 dropped to $39.88. Most of those listings expired when the sale closed. The invite-only Elite Trainer Box offer is the one still open, since it runs on requests and email invitations rather than a fixed sale window.\n\nThat lottery format is itself a tell: when access to a $160 cardboard box runs through invite requests instead of a straightforward listing, demand has outstripped print runs, not just hype. It's the same rationing pattern collectible card games lean on during real shortages, and it suggests 30th Celebration supply problems haven't eased months after launch.\n\nDon't expect that to change for the next anniversary set. Scarcity by invitation is cheaper for retailers than scarcity by price war.","[\"pokemon\",\"prime-day\",\"trading-card-game\",\"lego\"]","2026-10-08T01:13:18.000Z","2026-10-09T06:11:02.866Z","2026-10-09T06:11:08.491Z","published",null,[24,30,34],{"id":25,"reviewer":26,"round":27,"reason":28,"status":29},"editor-r1","editor",1,"The headline's 'Before Lottery Ends' falsely implies the ETB lottery itself has a deadline, contradicting the body's own point that the invite-only lottery persists independent of Prime Day — rewrite the headline\u002Fdek to clarify it's Prime Day (not the lottery) that's ending tonight.","resolved",{"id":31,"reviewer":26,"round":32,"reason":33,"status":29},"editor-r2",2,"The source's 'Prime Day ends tonight' refers to Oct. 7, but today is Oct. 9 — the sale already ended two days ago, so rewrite the headline\u002Fdek\u002Fbody to drop the false 'ends tonight' urgency and frame Prime Day as already over while the ETB lottery continues.",{"id":35,"reviewer":26,"round":36,"reason":37,"status":29},"editor-r3",3,"The claim that 'a handful of third-party and Lego discounts' are 'still live days after the official sale ended' is unsupported — the source was written during Prime Day itself and can't confirm current post-sale pricing, so either verify those discounts are actually still active or drop that assertion and stick to what's confirmed still running (the invite-only ETB lottery).","deals",[40,41,42,43],"pokemon","prime-day","trading-card-game","lego",[],0,{"sections":47},[48,53,58,63,67,72,77,82,87,91,96,101,106,111],{"name":49,"slug":50,"count":51,"latest_published_at":52},"AI","ai",6517,"2026-10-08T04:00:00.000Z",{"name":54,"slug":55,"count":56,"latest_published_at":57},"Security","security",911,"2026-10-07T19:53:42.000Z",{"name":59,"slug":60,"count":61,"latest_published_at":62},"Policy","policy",474,"2026-10-07T18:23:21.000Z",{"name":64,"slug":38,"count":65,"latest_published_at":66},"Deals",458,"2026-10-08T10:03:39.000Z",{"name":68,"slug":69,"count":70,"latest_published_at":71},"Hardware","hardware",223,"2026-10-08T08:30:04.000Z",{"name":73,"slug":74,"count":75,"latest_published_at":76},"Science","science",187,"2026-10-07T04:00:00.000Z",{"name":78,"slug":79,"count":80,"latest_published_at":81},"Consumer Tech","consumer-tech",175,"2026-10-08T09:16:05.000Z",{"name":83,"slug":84,"count":85,"latest_published_at":86},"Software","software",113,"2026-10-07T18:10:00.000Z",{"name":88,"slug":89,"count":85,"latest_published_at":90},"Startups","startups","2026-10-07T23:36:57.000Z",{"name":92,"slug":93,"count":94,"latest_published_at":95},"Dev Tools","dev-tools",105,"2026-10-07T16:59:11.000Z",{"name":97,"slug":98,"count":99,"latest_published_at":100},"General","general",61,"2026-10-07T22:00:24.000Z",{"name":102,"slug":103,"count":104,"latest_published_at":105},"Gaming","gaming",56,"2026-10-07T12:00:00.000Z",{"name":107,"slug":108,"count":109,"latest_published_at":110},"Reviews","reviews",33,"2026-10-05T11:57:17.000Z",{"name":112,"slug":113,"count":114,"latest_published_at":115},"How-To","how-to",8,"2026-10-05T09:00:00.000Z"]
