Amazon's price on the Pokémon TCG Mega Greninja ex Premium Collection has dropped to $50.37, just 50 cents off its all-time low.
The eight-pack box, sold through third-party seller reVend, is marked down from its usual $62.97 to $50.37, a 20 percent discount. That is about $4 cheaper than the deal spotted in September and only half a dollar above the record low of $49.87 tracked by camelcamelcamel. The box includes four Perfect Order packs, two Chaos Rising packs, two Phantasmal Flames packs, a foil Mega Greninja ex promo card, a larger lenticular version of that card, and a reusable tech sticker. At this price, each booster pack works out to roughly $6.30 before counting the extras.
Pokémon TCG prices have swung wildly with scalper demand since the game's resurgence, so a retail discount that nearly matches the $49.87 secondary-market price on TCGplayer is notable. Most sales still leave a gap between what retailers charge and what the resale market will bear; this one closes it almost completely.
Call it a rare case where chasing a deal and chasing the market price lead to the same number.
