Amazon trimmed the price on the Pokemon TCG Mega Evolution Booster Display Box, but calling it the best deal in town is a stretch.
The 36-pack display box is now $353.99 at Amazon through third-party seller Collectors Expedition, down from its usual $378.88. That's a $24.89 cut, about 7 percent, with free delivery included as of October 1. Each pack holds 10 random cards, so the full box delivers 360 cards at roughly $9.83 per pack before tax.
The Mega Evolution set has quickly become one of the pricier releases in the modern Pokemon TCG, and this discount lands just ahead of Prime Day. But Amazon isn't even the cheapest option: Walmart sells the same box for $344.95 with free shipping, and TCGplayer sellers list English unopened copies for as little as $308 shipped - just a single cent above the card's current market value of $307.99.
That gap says more about retail markup than it does about scarcity. If you're chasing a specific pull, like the golden MHR Mega Lucario ex, buying singles on TCGplayer still beats gambling on packs.
