The Pokemon TCG 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box is back on Amazon at $159.99, and now you need an invite just to buy it.
Amazon's earlier $89.99 price on this box sold out fast. The retailer has re-listed it at $159.99, a figure that lines up closely with TCGplayer's current market price. Because stock is thin heading into Prime Big Deal Days, Amazon is routing orders through a request-invite system: submitting a request reserves a spot in line rather than guaranteeing a purchase. The box still packs nine 30th Celebration booster packs, an exclusive foil Nidorina promo card, 16 foil basic energy cards, 65 custom sleeves, damage-counter dice, a player guide, and a code for Pokemon TCG Live.
This isn't really a deal anymore. It's closer to a lottery ticket for retail pricing. The Pokemon Company keeps anniversary print runs deliberately scarce, and that scarcity is exactly what pushes resale prices up in the first place, so Amazon's invite line is just a more orderly way to pay what the box is actually worth right now. Walmart's price on the same box is still higher, so this remains the better of the two official options.
Anyone still hoping for $89.99 missed the window; $159.99 is simply this set's real price now.
