Amazon has cut $100 off the 45mm Google Pixel Watch 5, taking the LTE model to $429.99 from $529.99 and the Wi-Fi model to $329.99 from $429.99.
According to price trackers, the LTE price is the lowest yet and the Wi-Fi price is a record low. That works out to 19% off the cellular version and 23% off the Wi-Fi one. Either watch includes 90 days of free Amazon Music, and deal pricing can change after publication.
PCMag calls the Pixel Watch 5 the best smartwatch for Android users, mainly because Gemini, Google's AI assistant, is built in deeply. It works proactively: it can surface flight details on the way to the airport or suggest a contact's number while you text about dinner. A new AI-powered Health Coach reviews workouts with tailored feedback, though some of its fitness advice sits behind a paid subscription.
The hardware changes are modest. Google says the faster Qualcomm processor improves overall performance by 20%, a company claim. RAM rises from 2GB to 3GB and storage doubles to 64GB compared with the Pixel Watch 4. The display reaches 3,000 nits, the watch carries IP68 and 5ATM ratings, and it lasted up to 56.5 hours in testing.
The health sensors are largely untouched: heart rate, blood oxygen, ECG, skin temperature, GPS and sleep tracking. Combined with a design that barely strays from last year's, that makes this a software and memory upgrade. Pixel Watch 4 owners get little reason to switch, so the discount mostly speaks to people on older watches. It also covers only the hardware, not the coaching subscription. The watch needs Android 12 or newer, and the better AI features work best with a newer Pixel phone.
One detail the sale leaves alone: the LTE model costs $100 more than the Wi-Fi one at both list and sale prices. Whether leaving your phone at home is worth that is the same question it was before the discount.
