Amazon has cut the Philips Keypad Front Door Lock Set to $89.98 from $142.99, a drop of $53 or about 37%. Price trackers list it as the lowest price ever.
The set includes an electronic deadbolt and two matching lever handles in matte black, so you can swap out your front door hardware in one go. You can get in with a fingerprint, a PIN, or one of two backup keys. Philips claims the fingerprint reader works in 0.3 seconds. You can register multiple fingerprints for family members and generate unlimited one-time PINs for visitors.
The lock also has an auto-lock timer adjustable from 30 to 180 seconds, plus alerts for incorrect entries, low batteries, and a jammed lock. Privacy, away, and silent modes add more control. Installation takes a screwdriver, if your door fits: 1 3/8 to 2 inches thick, a one-inch edge bore, and a 2 3/8- or 2 3/4-inch backset.
The notable choice here is what the lock leaves out. Most keyless entry products pitch connectivity as the headline feature. This one works entirely offline, so there is no remote unlock, no status check from your phone, and no smart home integration. For someone who wants to stop carrying keys but does not want another device on the home network, that is the point. For someone who wants to let a visitor in from across town, it is a dealbreaker.
At under $90, the set looks aimed at the first group: buyers who want the convenience of a fingerprint or code and little else. One detail is missing from the product description. It does not say how the incorrect-entry and jam alerts reach you, which matters for a lock with no phone link.
