The self-parking electric travel trailer just got a solar upgrade for campers who'd rather not run a generator all night.
Pebble is updating its Flow travel trailer for 2027 with more solar charging capacity for its 45 kWh LFP battery pack. The new panel kit can draw up to 4 kW, which Pebble says should generate more electricity than most people use during an average day of camping. The outgoing model topped out with an optional 1.1 kWh roof panel; the 2027 kit adds four portable panels that Pebble rates at a combined 2 kWh. The Flow, first introduced in 2025, remains one of the only all-electric trailers actually shipping to customers.
Camping is one of the last places gas generators still dominate, so a trailer that can top off its own battery with sunlight is a genuine quality-of-life upgrade, not just a spec-sheet flex. It also puts pressure on the growing pack of camper-van and camper-trailer concepts from Kia, Winnebago, and Volkswagen, none of which has shipped a production electric trailer of its own.
One thing worth flagging: Pebble's own figures mix power (kW) and energy (kWh) units for panels doing the same job, so matching the "4 kW" headline number to the 1.1 kWh and 2 kWh component panels isn't straightforward. Read camping tech spec sheets with the same skepticism you'd apply to any press release.
