Because real-world jamming data is nearly impossible to collect legally — intentional jamming is illegal, and even if it weren't, isolating a clean ground-truth signal from hardware noise and environmental reflections is a nightmare — the team simulated 102 interference configurations instead. The dataset covers varied antenna array patterns, bandwidths, noise levels, and reflection depths, and comes with baseline results from both classical direction-finding algorithms (MUSIC, ESPRIT, and CAPON) and modern ML approaches.\n\nWireless jamming and spoofing are not hypothetical threats. GPS disruption has affected aviation and shipping in conflict zones, and as satellite navigation becomes load-bearing infrastructure for autonomous vehicles and logistics, the cost of a blind spot rises. Datasets like S-ICDF matter because ML models are only as good as the variety of conditions they train on — and until now, that variety has been hard to source without breaking the law.\n\nThe dataset is freely available on Fraunhofer's GitLab.
