Amazon knocked real money off consoles, games, and PC gaming gear for its October Prime Day sale.
The event runs Oct. 6-7, and the strongest console deal is a renewed Nintendo Switch with Neon Blue and Red Joy-Con, down to $199.90 from a $339 list price - a refurbished unit in "Excellent" condition, not new stock. On the game side, Starfield's PS5 port drops to $40.33 with an on-page coupon, saving $9.66 off the full base game. Peripheral prices fell too: a 32-inch Samsung Odyssey G5 QHD monitor is $229.99 (from $349.99), a HyperX Cloud III S wireless headset is $129.99 (from $179.99, its lowest price on record), Razer's Basilisk V3 mouse is half off at $34.98, and the BlackWidow V4 X mechanical keyboard drops to $92.99 from $129.99.
The renewed Switch is the stronger pick here: buying refurbished through Amazon's own program carries less risk than third-party listings, and $199.90 undercuts a new Switch by well over $100. It also underscores a familiar Prime Day pattern - first-party console hardware almost never gets a real discount, so the deepest cuts land on refurbished units, older game ports, and the monitors, headsets, and peripherals built around them.
None of this is fixed in stone, either - prices on these pages have already shifted once since the sale started, so what looks like a deal today could move again before the window closes.
