Nvidia already lists its AI Enterprise platform at $4,500 per GPU for a one-year subscription. Huang's figure is lower, but Nvidia has not confirmed that the two prices cover the same products or terms, so it is not a confirmed price cut.

The headline-grabbing revenue math comes from outside the company. An investor post cited by FourWeekMBA assumed 10 million eligible enterprise GPUs shipped in a year, 50% of them with paid software, at $2,000 each. That yields $10 billion in annual recurring revenue, or $50 billion over five years if customers keep renewing. Those inputs are the poster's assumptions, not Nvidia guidance.

The logic behind that scenario, that a license rides along with a large share of GPUs sold, is our inference. Nvidia has not said it.

There is a product story underneath. On October 21, Nvidia announced its OpenShell Reference Architecture, which combines Vera Rubin infrastructure, Vera CPUs and BlueField-4 data processing units (DPUs) running Nvidia Sentry. OpenShell is a secure runtime that limits what an AI agent can do and reach. Sentry watches agent activity independently and can quarantine an agent that crosses those limits, according to Nvidia. Anthropic is integrating OpenShell and BlueField with Claude Managed Agents, and Salesforce built a Slack Admin Bridge for approving agent permissions.

That fits Huang's recent line on the BG2Pod podcast: "One of these days, people might not categorize us as a chip company anymore." The open question is whether $2,000 is a slice of the $4,500 platform or a separate meter for agents.","["nvidia","enterprise-software","ai-agents","gpu-pricing"]","2026-10-25T13:00:00.000Z","2026-10-25T13:10:31.896Z","2026-10-25T13:10:32.055Z","published",null,[24
"editor-r1","editor",1,"Name the source of the 10 million GPU / 50% attach scenario (the FourWeekMBA-cited investor post) instead of calling it 'one widely shared investor post', since 'widely shared' is not supported by the source; also attribute the Huang remarks to The Register's reporting, and make clear the 'logic' that a license rides along with every GPU is your inference rather than anything Nvidia has said.","resolved","ai",[32,33,34,35],"nvidia","enterprise-software","ai-agents","gpu-pricing",[37
Tom's Hardware","https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/gpus/nvidia-discusses-usd2-000-per-gpu-annual-software-fee-for-running-agents-on-ai-infrastructure-firm-already-charges-more-than-twice-that-amount-for-its-ai-enterprise-software-platform",0
43,47,52,57,62,67,72,77,82,87,92,97,102,107
"AI",7083,"2026-10-25T15:25:40.000Z
"Security","security",1066,"2026-10-25T11:30:00.000Z
"Policy","policy",586,"2026-10-25T11:44:53.000Z
"Deals","deals",572,"2026-10-25T14:31:28.000Z
"Consumer Tech","consumer-tech",300,"2026-10-25T15:18:08.000Z
"Hardware","hardware",294,"2026-10-23T20:00:00.000Z
"Science","science",218,"2026-10-23T22:48:25.000Z
"Startups","startups",148,"2026-10-23T16:26:29.000Z
"Software","software",144,"2026-10-25T04:58:09.000Z
"Dev Tools","dev-tools",122,"2026-10-21T16:00:00.000Z
"General","general",102,"2026-10-24T15:34:10.000Z
"Gaming","gaming",88,"2026-10-22T22:25:33.000Z
"Reviews","reviews",38,"2026-10-20T12:00:00.000Z
"How-To","how-to",8,"2026-10-05T09:00:00.000Z"]
