Apple's brand-new Mac mini and Mac Studio are already on sale.
Amazon has knocked up to $49 off select M6 Mac mini and M5 Max Mac Studio configurations, just days after Apple's launch. The cuts include $19 off a 16GB/256GB Mac mini (now $879.99), $29 off a 16GB/512GB Mac mini (now $1,069.99), and $49 off a 36GB/512GB M5 Max Mac Studio (now $2,449.99). Apple says the new M6 Mac mini delivers up to 40% faster CPU performance and up to 4x faster AI performance than the outgoing M4 model. Separately, B&H is selling Samsung's 4TB T7 Shield portable SSD for $464.99, a $680 cut from its $1,144.99 list price.
That's fast for Apple, whose hardware typically holds close to sticker price for months after launch. Retailers competing on price this early suggests normal market competition is still in play even for freshly launched Apple silicon. For shoppers, there's little upside to waiting for a bigger sale before buying.
The SSD markdown is the sharper outlier: a $680 cut on portable storage runs against the price hikes hitting the storage market this year.
