That is DLSS 5's newest feature, in which an AI model helps produce parts of the image instead of leaving it all to traditional calculation. Version 0.8.0 adds the rest: Super Resolution 4.5 (upscaling from a lower internal resolution), Frame Generation (AI-made extra frames), Ray Reconstruction (AI cleanup of ray-traced lighting) and the 310.9.16 Neural Rendering build. It also bundles FSR 4.1.1, AMD's own upscaler, so the mod works against one known version instead of the many FSR implementations that games ship.

The mod supports Radeon RX 9000, 7000 and 6000 cards (RDNA 4, 3 and 2) in any DirectX 12 game that offers FSR, DLSS or XeSS, Intel's upscaler. You install it through a loader called NeuralHub. Then you switch on one of those upscalers in the game, and the mod slots into that pipeline. An in-game overlay adjusts the DLSS settings.

The performance claims come from the developer. He said output quality is very close to native DLSS on Nvidia hardware, apart from "some effects that may not be working 100%," and that an RX 9070 XT reaches 90-100 FPS at 1080p. He is aiming to match a 5070 Ti. Reddit users report anything from no loss against native FSR to single-digit drops and as much as 25% lower frame rates, depending on the game.

AMD already has counterparts for most of these features, but fewer games support them than support DLSS. That makes the mod a workaround for a software gap, not a hardware one. It also will not work with anti-cheat, which likely rules out many online multiplayer games.

The spread in user results is the number to watch. A mod that costs 25% of your frame rate to add a visual feature is a different product from one that costs nothing, and the 5070 Ti target will show which one this becomes.","["amd","nvidia","dlss","modding"]","2026-10-18T16:03:01.000Z","2026-10-18T17:01:02.895Z","2026-10-18T17:01:03.913Z","published",null,[24
"editor-r1","editor",1,"Facts match the source, but "Neural Rendering" (the mod's core feature) and "XeSS" are never explained for general readers; change "Nvidia's Full Feature Set" in the headline to the DLSS suite, and drop the unsupported claim that the mod "shows players want" an AMD answer or attribute it to a source.","resolved","hardware",[32,33,34,35],"amd","nvidia","dlss","modding",[37
Tom's Hardware","https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/gpus/amd-cards-now-run-all-dlss-features-thanks-to-one-developers-project-plans-to-match-native-nvidia-gpu-performance",0
43,48,53,58,63,66,71,76,81,86,91,96,101,106
"AI","ai",7040,"2026-10-18T11:00:00.000Z
"Security","security",1004,"2026-10-18T12:05:00.000Z
"Policy","policy",540,"2026-10-18T11:45:00.000Z
"Deals","deals",524,"2026-10-17T07:00:00.000Z
"Hardware",266
"Consumer Tech","consumer-tech",238,"2026-10-18T14:54:31.000Z
"Science","science",203,"2026-10-17T12:40:00.000Z
"Startups","startups",134,"2026-10-18T12:02:57.000Z
"Software","software",129,"2026-10-15T22:21:06.000Z
"Dev Tools","dev-tools",118,"2026-10-16T15:52:39.000Z
"General","general",83,"2026-10-18T15:02:19.000Z
"Gaming","gaming",77,"2026-10-17T16:59:39.000Z
"Reviews","reviews",37,"2026-10-14T10:00:00.000Z
"How-To","how-to",8,"2026-10-05T09:00:00.000Z"]
