Microsoft Office Professional 2021 is on sale for $29.97, a lifetime license instead of a subscription.
Through Oct. 11, a one-time payment of $29.97 (down from a list price of $219.99) buys a permanent copy of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, Access, and the free version of Teams for one Windows PC. The license attaches to the device, not a Microsoft account, so it's meant for a machine you plan to keep for years. There's no renewal date and no risk of losing access if a payment lapses, because there's no ongoing payment at all. The deal is being run through StackSocial, and prices are subject to change.
The math is straightforward: Microsoft 365's cheapest tier costs $99.99 a year, so this pays for itself in under four months and then keeps paying for itself every year after.
