Meta's AI agent Muse can now log into your Shopify store, Stripe payments, and QuickBooks ledger - if you let it.
Meta announced today that Muse for Small Business plugs its AI agent directly into the software small business owners already run their companies on. The new version connects to Shopify, Stripe, Canva, and Intuit's QuickBooks, among other tools. It can also read analytics straight out of Instagram business accounts. That means one agent gets a window into a company's storefront, payments, design work, bookkeeping, and social performance all at once.
That's a wider data-access footprint than most social-media scheduling tools or marketing bots ask for - those usually touch one account, not your payment processor and your books too. For small business owners juggling five different logins, the pitch is convenience: one assistant instead of five apps. For everyone else, it's a reminder that convenience usually means handing over more access than you'd give a new human employee on day one.
Meta hasn't said what guardrails exist if Muse mishandles a Stripe transaction or misreads a QuickBooks entry, and that's the part worth watching before anyone connects it to real money.
