LG's 27-inch Ultragear OLED gaming monitor just dropped by $400 on Amazon.
As of Sept. 24, Amazon has cut the price of the LG Ultragear OLED gaming monitor to $499.99, down from its usual $899.99 list price. The 27-inch panel runs at QHD resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate and a 0.3ms response time, plus DisplayHDR True Black and support for both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. It skips 4K, but the discount is landing weeks ahead of Amazon's October Prime Day event, set for Oct. 6-7. It's one of several gaming monitor deals already live before that sale officially starts.
OLED gaming monitors this size usually carry a premium because the panel technology itself is expensive to produce, so a 240Hz OLED under $500 is a genuine outlier rather than a marketing rounding error. Retailers often front-load a handful of strong deals before a major sale to build buzz, and this has the shape of one of those moves worth using as a baseline.
If $500 already buys an OLED panel with dual adaptive-sync support, October Prime Day has a fairly high bar to clear.
