JBL's go-to travel headphones just got a lot cheaper for the final hours of October's Prime Day sale.
The JBL Tour One M3 Smart Tx over-ear headphones are selling for $179.99 on Amazon, down from a $449 list price. That's a 60% discount, and it holds only for the sale's remaining hours. The headphones ship with a Smart Tx Audio Transmitter, a small module that plugs into any 3.5mm jack (in-flight entertainment systems, gym equipment, older TVs) and beams audio to the headphones wirelessly. They also fold down small enough to pack for a flight, which is the whole pitch.
That price is worth sitting with. Sony's WH-1000XM5, the standard over-ear noise-cancelling pick, is discounted to $198 in the same Prime Day event. Apple's AirPods Pro 3, which are earbuds rather than over-ear cans, are going for $179. JBL's pair matches earbud pricing while offering over-ear comfort, active noise cancellation, and a wireless transmitter accessory that neither competitor includes.
Prime Day math has a way of making ordinary products look like steals. This one actually holds up, but only until the sale clock runs out.
