Jackery is putting a Red Cross logo on three of its home battery packs, with a cut of the profits earmarked for disaster relief.
The HomePower 1000 Plus v2 Red Cross Edition ($749) and HomePower 2000 Plus v2 Red Cross Edition ($1,199) are on sale now at Amazon, while the larger HomePower 3600 Plus Red Cross Edition ($1,899) ships in early November. The 1000 model holds 1,024Wh and can push 1,800W, with a 3,600W peak, enough to run power tools during a short outage. The 2000 model doubles that to 2,048Wh, stays under 30 decibels in quiet mode, and can expand to 12kWh with an add-on battery pack. The 3600 model tops out at 3,284Wh and adds wheels and a telescoping handle for hauling heavier loads like a space heater or portable air conditioner. Jackery says it will donate 10 percent of profits from the Red Cross models to emergency responders.
Power outages are exactly when a $750 to $1,900 battery stops being a camping accessory and becomes the difference between a fridge full of spoiled food and one that isn't. The Red Cross branding also points these units at disaster-prep buyers and first responders rather than just weekend campers, a positioning rivals like Anker Solix and Bluetti haven't leaned into as directly. It's a sign the portable power category is maturing past van life and tailgates into household emergency planning.
A 10 percent profit donation reads well in a press release, but the actual payout depends on how many units sell, and Jackery hasn't defined what counts as profit.
