October Prime Day is over, but one of its better TV deals isn't.
The 50-inch Hisense S7 Canvas Hi-QLED 4K TV is still $649.99 at Amazon as of October 12, the same price it hit during the sale event. That's $650 off its $1,299.99 list price, and reportedly its second-best price of 2026. The Canvas TV is built to double as wall art: it ships with a teakwood magnetic frame, an anti-glare matte finish, and an ultra-slim wall mount designed to sit flush against the wall.
The real story here is the art-mode subscription model it avoids. Samsung's The Frame, the obvious comparison point, charges a monthly fee for its art gallery. Hisense bundles in over 1,000 works and screensavers for free. The Canvas TV also edges The Frame on specs, with a 144Hz refresh rate versus 120Hz and two HDMI 2.1 ports, though it reportedly can't match The Frame's brightness.
This is a reminder that decorative TVs are becoming their own product category, not just a Samsung gimmick, and that the subscription creep showing up in appliances and cars hasn't skipped TVs either. At $649.99, you're paying less for hardware and nothing at all for the pictures on it.
