Google Meet’s AI note‑taker can now be tailored.
The “Take notes for me” feature now offers toggle switches for individual note sections such as action items or attendee lists. Users can also apply outcome labels—like “approved” or “deferred”—to each decision tracked during the call. The changes roll out to Workspace customers via an update to the Meet interface.
This matters because AI‑generated minutes have long been a blunt tool; the added granularity lets teams prune irrelevant text and surface concrete next steps without manual editing. Decision labels turn raw transcript data into a quick reference for follow‑ups.
It’s a modest tweak, not a magic bullet, but it does shave a few minutes off post‑call housekeeping.
