The Ecovacs Goat O1000 robot lawn mower is $551 cheaper right now, down to $949.05 from its usual $1,499.99 at Amazon.
The deal cuts the Goat O1000's price by 37 percent. The mower uses a dual-LiDAR system, a laser-based mapping tool, to scan a yard in 360 degrees before it starts cutting. That lets it steer around flower beds, sidewalks, and driveways, and trim edges to within 2 centimeters without wires or buried boundary cables. Owners can let the mower map everything on its own, recognizing more than 200 types of obstacles, or use an app to draw mowing zones, set schedules, and mark no-go areas by hand.
Robot mowers have mostly been a luxury-yard flex, priced well above robot vacuums for less obvious daily benefit. A sub-$1,000 price point on a LiDAR-equipped model is the kind of threshold that nudges the category toward mainstream buyers rather than early adopters, especially heading into a season when mower sales usually slow down, not spike.
Still, $949 buys a lot of actual lawn equipment, and the real test of set-and-forget convenience is whether the mapping holds up on a messy, real-world yard rather than a showroom lawn.
