Ecovacs just dropped the price of its wire-free robot lawn mower to the lowest it's ever been.
Amazon cut the Ecovacs Goat A2000 LiDAR PRO to $1,329.05, down from $1,999.99 - a $670.94 discount - as part of Prime Big Deal Days. The mower skips buried boundary wires and GPS antennas, instead using dual 360-degree LiDAR sensors, the same kind found in high-end robot vacuums, to map a yard with two-centimeter precision. A built-in trimmer handles edge lines along driveways, sidewalks, and flower beds, and a 32V motor with a dual-blade disc is built to cut through thick grass varieties like Bermuda, Fescue, and St. Augustine. It covers yards up to half an acre and recharges in about 50 minutes.
Boundary-wire installs have long been the most annoying part of owning a robot mower, often eating up hours of setup or requiring a paid installer. By borrowing LiDAR navigation from robot vacuums, Ecovacs skips that step and claims steadier tracking than GPS-based mowers, which tend to lose their lock under dense trees or near privacy fences. At $1,329.05 it's still a four-figure purchase, but a 34% cut narrows the price gap with cheaper wire-based mowers that need extra hardware and labor just to get running.
A record-low price is still a record-low price on an expensive lawn tool - worth it only if you've already decided a robot should be the one mowing your yard.
