The Flip shoots 4K video at 60 frames per second off a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor, and adds subject tracking plus preset Creative Shots like circle and boomerang flight paths. It launches straight from an open palm, stays light in the air, and flies for up to 31 minutes per charge. Other drones got discounted in the same sale, including the DJI Neo at $139 and the pricier DJI Mini 3 Fly More Combo at $622.

The timing adds a wrinkle: recently passed legislation restricts new imports of Chinese-made DJI drones into the US, though units already in the country remain legal to buy and sell. That makes existing retail stock, including deals like this one, a shrinking pool rather than a renewable one. If supply does tighten the way the law implies, a $349 DJI Flip today could look like a bargain in six months regardless of what Prime Day discount is attached to it.

Deal cycles like this always carry a while-supplies-last undertone. This one just happens to have a regulatory reason behind it, too.","["dji","drones","prime-day-deals","deals"]","2026-10-07T09:53:31.000Z","2026-10-08T12:30:34.476Z","2026-10-17T21:08:48.230Z","published","The piece frames the sale as still running and 'closing out on October 7,' but today is October 8 — the Prime Day sale and this pricing have already elapsed, so verify current price/availability and rewrite the framing in past tense (or drop the piece if the deal is gone) before publishing.",[24,30,35,39
"editor-r1","editor",1,"The headline/dek frame the import ban as a future event ('before US import ban kicks in'), but the body and source state the legislation has already passed and is effectively in effect now, with existing stock being sold off as a result — rewrite the headline/dek to reflect that the ban is already active, not imminent.","resolved
"editor-r2",2,"The entire import-ban premise rests on a single source's vague reference to unnamed 'recently passed legislation' with no bill name, agency, or named official — identify the specific law/regulatory action (e.g. its actual title and effective date) and ideally corroborate with a second source before asserting so confidently that the ban is 'already in effect'.","open
"editor-r3",3,"The import-ban claim is still unnamed and single-sourced (no bill, agency, or effective date, and no second source), yet it's still used as the headline/dek hook and as a tag — either find the actual law and corroborate it, or strip the ban framing out of the headline, dek, and tags and keep it as a minor caveat in the body.
"editor-r4",4,null,"deals",[45,46,47,43],"dji","drones","prime-day-deals",[49
Mashable","https://mashable.com/tech/oct-7-october-prime-day-dji-flip-drone-deal",0
55,60,65,70,74,79,84,89,94,99,104,109,114,119
"AI","ai",7038,"2026-10-17T19:58:31.000Z
"Security","security",1001,"2026-10-17T22:20:00.000Z
"Policy","policy",538,"2026-10-17T19:38:12.000Z
"Deals",521,"2026-10-17T07:00:00.000Z
"Hardware","hardware",260,"2026-10-17T19:55:36.000Z
"Consumer Tech","consumer-tech",235,"2026-10-16T23:36:26.000Z
"Science","science",202,"2026-10-16T11:00:53.000Z
"Startups","startups",133,"2026-10-14T19:51:34.000Z
"Software","software",128,"2026-10-14T22:23:48.000Z
"Dev Tools","dev-tools",116,"2026-10-13T16:20:18.000Z
"General","general",81,"2026-10-16T16:06:38.000Z
"Gaming","gaming",77,"2026-10-17T16:59:39.000Z
"Reviews","reviews",37,"2026-10-14T10:00:00.000Z
"How-To","how-to",8,"2026-10-05T09:00:00.000Z"]
