Delta 2.0, the latest version of the iOS game emulator, now optimizes for the iPhone Duo, Apple's foldable. An emulator is software that mimics an older console so its games run on another device.
The Duo has a Nintendo DS-like shape, and the update leans into that. Delta's creator, Riley Testut, said 2.0 optimizes its controller skins (the on-screen button layouts drawn around a game) for "every pose" in both portrait and landscape. A foldable can be held in several positions, so a skin built for only one of them would waste much of what the hardware offers.
The DS comparison is the obvious one. That handheld was a two-screen clamshell, and the Duo's folded form gives DS games a familiar home. Delta's update treats the foldable as a first-class target rather than a phone that happens to bend.
The Duo is not the only change. Delta 2.0 also adds support for Sega Genesis games, animated controller skins, custom Pokémon DLC experiences, and a new UI built around Liquid Glass.
