It stems from an 8 billion yuan ($1.19 billion) damages suit Wingtech filed in May against Nexperia, its holding company, and three executives, including interim CEO Stefan Tilger, over what Wingtech calls discriminatory measures tied to the Dutch government's 2025 intervention. That case hasn't gone to trial, but the freeze already bars any sale or restructuring of the equity for three years.\n\nThe timing says as much as the ruling itself. Wingtech's first-half revenue fell more than 90% year-over-year to 1.51 billion yuan, its stock carries Shanghai's delisting-risk tag, and its auditor couldn't verify 57% of its assets, mostly the Nexperia entities it can no longer touch.
