Best Buy and Amazon have cut the price of Apple's black Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad to $169.99, down from $199.99. The keyboard includes a numerical pad, arrow keys, extra function keys, and a Touch ID button that unlocks Macs running macOS 15.1 or later on Apple silicon. It charges and transfers data over a woven USB-C cable, or connects wirelessly via Bluetooth. Best Buy's discount expires at 10PM PT today, and Amazon's stock is already shipping with a one to two day delay.
Black is the color Apple charges the most to protect. Its darker accessories carry a premium over the white equivalents and rarely go on sale, so a $30 cut here is a genuine rarity rather than a marketing pretext.
