Best Buy is cutting $260 off every iPhone Air configuration for its Techtober sale.
The discount applies to all storage tiers and colors in the unlocked lineup, with pricing starting at $839.99. The 512GB model falls to $1,039.99, also $260 off its usual price. The sale runs as part of Best Buy's Techtober event. The retailer is also discounting the iPhone Air MagSafe Battery, Apple's charging accessory made specifically for the Air, to $59 from $99.
The $260 cut matches the lowest price Best Buy has offered on the iPhone Air, a mark it already hit during its Black Friday in July sale. That makes this less a special Techtober deal and more a reissue of a price cut Best Buy has already tested on shoppers. For a phone Apple marketed on its thinness rather than raw specs, repeat markdowns say more about how it's selling than any press release will.
