Beats' sturdy USB-C cable just got cheaper than it's ever been.
During Amazon's second Prime Day event of the year, the price of Beats' 1.5-meter USB-C to USB-C braided cable dropped to $7.60, down from $18.99 - a 60% cut and the lowest it has hit. A two-pack is also discounted, at $14 instead of $34.99, also 60% off. The cable supports up to 60 watts of charging power and uses the same braided, durable build Apple charges a premium for on its own cables. Beats also sells USB-A to USB-C and Lightning versions, though those aren't part of this particular discount.
Cable deals rarely make headlines, but $7.60 undercuts most third-party braided options and lands near what buyers usually pay for flimsier, unbraided ones. For anyone replacing a fraying charger or building a travel kit with options for different ports, this removes the usual tradeoff between durability and price.
It won't change how you charge your phone, but it is the rare Prime Day deal that is just a genuinely good price on a cable.
