Asus ROG is celebrating its 20th anniversary by selling a keyboard plated in 24-karat gold for $600.
Unveiled at Computex 2026, the Azoth Extreme Edition 20 is the company's anniversary keyboard, finished in real gold and priced to match. Asus is pairing it with the Harpe II Extreme Edition 20 mouse at $260, giving buyers the option to gold-plate their entire setup for a combined $860. Both products carry the "Extreme Edition 20" branding to mark two decades of the Republic of Gamers line. Details on production quantities or availability windows weren't provided.
Gaming peripheral makers have long used anniversary editions as exercises in margin expansion — a gold finish is the logical endpoint of that tradition. At $600, the keyboard costs roughly what a mid-range graphics card costs, which draws a hard line between the player who needs a keyboard and the collector who wants one on a shelf.
For a brand built on the claim that serious players deserve serious hardware, a $600 gold keyboard is either a genuine collectible or a very expensive way to find out how much the ROG name is worth per gram.
