Apple has removed Keynote, Pages and Numbers from the App Store, and it has not said whether that was deliberate.
The three apps make up iWork, Apple's answer to Microsoft Office and Google's document tools. The removal came just after Apple shipped an update that added a new Intelligent Assistant to them. Apple has not said when the apps will return. If the removal was a mistake, they should be back soon.
The timing is the interesting part, and also the least conclusive. An update followed almost immediately by a disappearance points to a release problem: a faulty build, a metadata slip or a review issue. But nothing Apple has said confirms any of those, and a plain store glitch would look identical from the outside. Treat the connection as a hypothesis, not a finding.
It matters because iWork is Apple's own software, not a third-party app caught in a policy dispute. Apple controls both the store and the apps, so a quiet disappearance with no explanation is a notable lapse in communication. Apple's silence also leaves anyone who relies on these apps for documents or presentations with no timeline.
The cleanest answer would be the apps reappearing with no comment. A statement about the Intelligent Assistant would be a different story.
