Amazon has cut the Apple Watch Series 10 from its $749 list price to $637, a $112 (15%) discount that was live as of October 21.
The catch is the configuration. The price applies to the 46mm model with GPS and cellular, and only in the slate titanium case with a black sport band. Other finishes are not at this price.
The listing pitches the watch as a fitness tracker first. It tracks runs and swims, offers training load insights, and keeps Apple's activity rings. It also includes three months of Fitness+, Apple's guided-workout subscription, at no charge. On the health and safety side, it lists ECG readings, blood oxygen monitoring, heart rate alerts, sleep tracking, menstrual cycle tracking, Fall Detection, Crash Detection, Emergency SOS and Check In notifications. That is the sales pitch, and it is a long feature list rather than a verdict.
The Series 10 is a 2024 model, so a mid-teens markdown is the sort of cut older Apple hardware tends to get from big retailers. It is worth taking seriously, though not worth panic. The deal is also being sold as an early Black Friday offer, and nothing in the listing says whether the price falls further closer to the sale. The offer is described only as limited-time, with no end date attached.
The more useful question is what you will use. The $637 buys the cellular, titanium version, the pricier end of the lineup. Cellular matters if you want to leave your phone at home on a run. If you rarely do, a discount on the top configuration may be a smaller win than it looks.
