Apple's Watch SE 3 is down to $199 at Amazon — $50 off its regular price and the lowest it has sold for.
The SE 3 was the most substantive Apple Watch update last year. While the Series 11 and Ultra 3 were incremental, Apple overhauled the SE line with an always-on display, double-tap and wrist-flick gestures, a wrist-temperature sensor, 5G connectivity, fast charging, a speaker, and a newer processor. The Series 11, which adds EKG and atrial fibrillation detection, is also discounted to $279 — $50 off its regular price.
For most buyers, the $199 SE 3 is the right call. The health sensors missing from the SE line matter only to a narrow slice of users, and the hardware gap between the SE 3 and Series 11 is now narrower than it has ever been. At $80 less, that gap is harder to justify.
One thing worth flagging before you buy: Apple is expected to announce a Series 12 within a few months, which will likely push the Series 11 price down further. The SE line, by contrast, is not expected to be refreshed for at least another year — so the SE 3 you buy today should hold its value in the lineup longer than a Series 11 bought right now.
