For October Prime Day, though, the better deal sits on last year's hardware: the Apple Watch SE 3 has dropped to $199 for the 40mm model at Walmart, $50 off its $249 list price. The 44mm version runs $229, and cellular models start at $279. The SE 3 skips the new chip and the flashiest sensors but keeps the basics - heart rate and sleep tracking, Emergency SOS, fall and crash detection, 50m water resistance, and Apple Intelligence with the new Siri.\n\nThis is a familiar move from Apple: debut a flagship loaded with features most buyers will rarely touch, then let a cheaper, year-old model handle the actual daily use. The SE 3 has no ECG, no blood oxygen sensor, and no satellite SOS, but those are edge-case tools, not daily drivers. The things people actually check a watch for - time, heart rate, sleep, notifications, and now an AI assistant - work the same on the $199 model as they do on the pricier Ultra 4.\n\nIf you want Apple's most capable watch, buy the Ultra 4. If you just want the one you'll actually wear, $199 gets you there without paying for sensors you'll never open.","[\"apple watch se 3\",\"prime day\",\"wearables\",\"deals\"]","2026-10-06T20:06:57.000Z","2026-10-07T09:57:57.246Z","2026-10-07T09:58:08.250Z","published",null,[],"deals",[26,27,28,24],"apple watch se 3","prime day","wearables",[30],{"name":31,"url":32},"Lifehacker","https:\u002F\u002Flifehacker.com\u002Ftech\u002Fapple-watch-se-3-deal-october-prime-day-2026?utm_medium=RSS",0,{"sections":35},[36,41,46,51,55,60,65,70,75,80,85,90,95,100],{"name":37,"slug":38,"count":39,"latest_published_at":40},"AI","ai",6361,"2026-10-06T20:35:51.000Z",{"name":42,"slug":43,"count":44,"latest_published_at":45},"Security","security",893,"2026-10-06T19:02:42.000Z",{"name":47,"slug":48,"count":49,"latest_published_at":50},"Policy","policy",470,"2026-10-06T19:55:11.000Z",{"name":52,"slug":24,"count":53,"latest_published_at":54},"Deals",417,"2026-10-06T20:49:19.000Z",{"name":56,"slug":57,"count":58,"latest_published_at":59},"Hardware","hardware",216,"2026-10-06T18:22:57.000Z",{"name":61,"slug":62,"count":63,"latest_published_at":64},"Science","science",186,"2026-10-06T21:20:39.000Z",{"name":66,"slug":67,"count":68,"latest_published_at":69},"Consumer Tech","consumer-tech",166,"2026-10-06T17:31:59.000Z",{"name":71,"slug":72,"count":73,"latest_published_at":74},"Software","software",109,"2026-10-06T17:06:24.000Z",{"name":76,"slug":77,"count":78,"latest_published_at":79},"Startups","startups",106,"2026-10-06T20:00:30.000Z",{"name":81,"slug":82,"count":83,"latest_published_at":84},"Dev Tools","dev-tools",104,"2026-10-06T20:57:56.000Z",{"name":86,"slug":87,"count":88,"latest_published_at":89},"General","general",56,"2026-10-06T18:31:46.000Z",{"name":91,"slug":92,"count":93,"latest_published_at":94},"Gaming","gaming",55,"2026-10-06T09:38:03.000Z",{"name":96,"slug":97,"count":98,"latest_published_at":99},"Reviews","reviews",33,"2026-10-05T11:57:17.000Z",{"name":101,"slug":102,"count":103,"latest_published_at":104},"How-To","how-to",8,"2026-10-05T09:00:00.000Z"]
