Shaped as a thin aluminum-and-glass disc with a physical side button, it borrowed the AirTag's look almost exactly. A built-in camera would have fed live views to Siri, letting it answer questions about where you are or what you're looking at - the same Visual Intelligence idea Apple is separately testing for camera-equipped AirPods, rumored for as soon as 2027. Apple reportedly hoped to ship the pin around the same timeframe, but a paused project rarely hits that kind of deadline.\n\nThe bigger story is what this says about wearable AI cameras generally. Humane's AI Pin and Rabbit's R1 both proved that strapping a camera to an assistant is easy; making the assistant worth wearing is not.
