Apple's Health Age feature just left the developer-only sandbox.
Apple released the first public betas of iOS 27.2, iPadOS 27.2, macOS Golden Gate 27.2, tvOS 27.2, and watchOS 27.2, a day after seeding the second developer beta. Anyone can sign up on Apple's beta testing site and install the software through Software Update in Settings. The headline addition is the redesigned Health app Apple showed at its September iPhone event, which adds Insights and Longevity tabs and a Health Age score that stacks your fitness metrics against your actual age. The release also expands Siri to French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish, and adds new profile options to the Apple TV app.
Health Age reduces sleep, activity, and other data into a single number, the same simplification trick Apple has used before with Activity rings and its Cardio Fitness rating. Moving the feature to public beta now, rather than holding it for a fall release, suggests Apple wants broader real-world data on how the score behaves before millions of iPhones get it by default.
Public betas are still developer software with a friendlier sign-up page, so treat the new Health tabs the same way you'd treat any beta: useful to look at, risky to depend on.
