Amazon has cut the price of the 13-inch iPad Pro (M4) to $1,299, a $200 discount off Apple's $1,499 list price.
The deal is live now, ahead of Amazon's October Prime Day event, which runs October 6-7. The 13-inch M4 model includes 512GB of storage, an Ultra Retina XDR display, WiFi 6E, Face ID, and Apple Intelligence features. A comparable 11-inch M4 iPad Pro is also discounted by $200, with Nano Texture Glass and roughly four times the storage of the base configuration.
The timing isn't a coincidence. Apple just announced the M6 chip, which means M4 hardware - barely a year old - is already getting pushed to clearance-adjacent pricing to make room for next-gen inventory. That's the normal cadence of Apple's chip cycle: today's flagship silicon becomes tomorrow's discount bait almost as soon as a successor is confirmed, regardless of whether the performance gap actually matters to most buyers.
If you don't need the newest chip, the M4 iPad Pro is still one of the fastest tablets you can buy. Just don't mistake pre-Prime-Day marketing language for a ticking clock - similar discounts tend to resurface once the M6 models actually ship.
