Apple's older Apple TV 4K boxes are getting the AI upgrade too, not just the newest one.
Apple said second- and third-generation Apple TV 4K models will gain Siri AI in beta with tvOS 27.2. The update brings the overhauled, more conversational Siri and other Apple Intelligence features that had been limited to the newest Apple TV hardware. To use it, the device needs Siri enabled and set to a supported language. At launch, Siri AI works in English in the United States, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.
Apple TV updates usually trail the rest of the lineup, so pushing Siri AI onto boxes that are a few product cycles old is notable. It suggests the assistant rebuild is less dependent on brand-new silicon than people assumed, and it puts an AI feature in front of more living rooms than a newest-model-only rollout would.
Beta is the operative word. Apple's Siri rebuild has slipped timelines before, so treat this rollout as a plan, not a promise.
