Anker is quietly discounting dozens of its own products days before Amazon's Prime Day even begins.
The cuts span Anker's entire family of brands: Soundcore speakers and earbuds, Eufy security cameras and robot vacuums, Nebula projectors, and Anker's own power banks and Solix power stations. The discounts vary a lot. The Soundcore Select 4 Go speaker drops to $22.99 from $34.99, a 34 percent cut. The Eufy Omni C20 robot vacuum falls to $339.98 from $549.99, a 38 percent cut. The Anker Prime power bank, meanwhile, goes to $199.99 from $229.99, just a 13 percent cut.
That spread is the real story. A "save $210" vacuum deal grabs attention, but a 13 percent markdown on a power bank is an ordinary discount, not a doorbuster. Shoppers should compare percentage off, not the size of the dollar figure in the badge, especially as retailers keep rolling out comparable cuts well ahead of Prime Day's official start.
Anker's brands already compete hard on price year round, so a decent discount is welcome. Calling it an "early Prime Day deal" is mostly a timing label, not proof of a better bargain.
