Prime Big Deal Days runs October 6 and 7, though prices on select products have been dropping for weeks. Right now, deals under $50 include a two-pack of Echo Glow smart lights for $47.98, JBL Vibe Beam 2 noise-canceling earbuds for $39.94, a Chefman Everything Maker pizza oven for $44.99, a Blink Battery Doorbell 2K+ for $43.99, a Gootop outdoor bug zapper for $33.29, and a Tymo heated straightening brush for $42.10. Discounts range from about $5 off the bug zapper to nearly $76 off the doorbell.
Amazon setting its own 'was' prices is worth a raised eyebrow - a discount is only as real as the list price it's measured against, and Amazon controls both numbers. The doorbell's advertised $75.99 savings looks dramatic, but that math assumes its $119.98 sticker price was ever the going rate.
Even so, $33 for a bug zapper that covers half an acre is cheap enough that the marketing math barely matters - it's the rare item here priced for an impulse buy, discount or not.
