The standout is Magic: The Gathering's The Hobbit Bundle, now $59.99 instead of its $69.99 list price, the lowest price the set has ever hit according to price tracker camelcamelcamel. That undercuts the secondary market too. TCGplayer pegs the bundle's estimated value at $61, and even the cheapest active listings on the site only go as low as $63.58 before shipping. For $59.99, buyers get nine 14-card Play Boosters, an alternate-art foil promo, 34 land cards, a life counter, and a storage box, working out to about $6.67 per booster.
Retailers usually save their sharpest cuts for the days right before a sale event, not weeks out. Pricing below what collectors already pay each other on a dedicated secondary market is a more concrete signal than a typical percent-off discount, since TCGplayer prices reflect actual sales, not a suggested retail number.
Whether that holds once Prime Day's main event starts on October 6 is the real test. Early deals are often a preview, not the floor.
